Grade 1030 is a carbon steel alloy. Like most carbon steels, the main alloyants of these steels are carbon and iron. Though there are two alloyants that dominate the alloy, the AISI/SAE 1030 Steel Round Bars may contain trace elements like copper, aluminium, molybdenum, chromium along with nickel. Being high carbon steel grade, these 1030 Carbon Steel Rods are known to exhibit moderate tensile AISI 1030 steel Steel Grades AISI 1029 - AISI 1030 Carbon Steels All Metals AISI 1029 AND 1030 carbon steels are effectively on the boundary of low and medium carbon steels, and as such may be classified as direct-hardening grades as opposed to carburizing grades.
